About the Role
As a key member of the Rebellion Land Management/Operations team, the successful candidate will work closely with the Chief Operations Officer, in addition to Field Operations and Land teams. The position reports directly to the COO and will be active in supporting the COO. The role requires working with a variety of datasets such as environmental, safety, financial, regulatory, and operations. The Orphan Well Operations Technical Support may be a remote position with approximately 10% travel to various worksites.
Responsibilities:
Perform financial tracking of operations to ensure staying in budget.
- Work with land groups for regulatory filings, creating and managing land restoration reports and assisting the Data Superintendent.
- Research additional carbon offset projects for the business.
- Research and facilitate implementation of smarter business processes and analytics for meaningful insights.
- Build and maintain dashboards and quality control routines to improve data visibility and integrity
- Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to understand company needs and identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions in the carbon offset markets.
- Support Rebellion Energy Solutions engineering, and field operations projects as required.

The successful candidate for this role will have a mix of the following qualifications, competencies and commitment to our core values:
- Associate’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Math or Financial degrees.
- Minimum 5 years of professional industry experience as an Engineering Technician, Data Analyst, or Environmental Technician with a strong technical background.
- Some previous experience with the oil and gas industry is helpful but not required.
- Strong proficiency with Arc GIS.
- Possess general working knowledge of oil and gas terminology and nature-based carbon credits.
- Strong skills with Microsoft Office suite of products (Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams, PowerPoint).
- Excellent communicator with both field and office, across the organization.
- Thrives in a highly dynamic, fast-paced environment with an ability to handle multiple tasks and efficiently prioritize work to meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated and capable of proactively driving continuous improvement.

Compensation and Benefits:
The compensation for this full-time, exempt position starts at $80,000 and is based upon expertise, years of experience and a verifiable track record of results. This compensation is accompanied by a competitive benefits package including: vacation/sick leave, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401k matching.
